Spring Registration (from home page)
Adults are more willing to sign on to help a troop when they and their daughters have already been part of a program year.
Leaders can partner with other volunteers in the Service Unit to recruit new girls to the program.
By registering early, girls and families make a commitment to support the troop in the upcoming year. This can help you as a leader with troop support and sharing responsibilities.
Spring Registration Time Line
Materials for spring registration will be distributed in March (no later than the April Service Unit Meeting). You can begin sharing information with parents and guardians as soon as you receive your materials. The schedule for spring registration is as follows:
- Materials will be distributed in March (no later than the April Service Unite Meeting).
- Spring Registration takes place in April and May.
- Registrations are due to Service Unit Registrar by June 1.
- Registrations are due to the Council Registrar by June 15.
Need more information? Speak with your Service Unit Registrar, TSD or Service Unit Manager. These individuals will facilitate the development of a plan for bridging troops and implementing the new GSUSA Program Age Level guidelines. They will also have information about ways the council can support troops through the realignment.
Incentives
Troops that register during spring registration will receive a coupon that entitles them to purchase ID strips for their new council (Heart of Michigan or Southeastern Michigan) for $0.50 each. The troop will be able to purchase one ID strip for each member who registers.
