uniquely ME!, the Girl Scout/Dove Self-Esteem Program

Unilever and its Dove Self-Esteem Fund are committed to helping youth reach their full potential by addressing self-esteem issues that impact them physically, emotionally and intellectually. To do this, we have developed programs and partnerships that focus on mentoring, education and group and individual activities to foster self-esteem.

Workshop sessions include:

Handling peer pressure

Developing a positive body image

Healthy eating habits

Identifying core values and personal interests on an age-appropriate basis

There’s still time to sign up for this summer’s uniquely ME! sessions. Email Winnie Odom at wdom@gshvc.org or call her at 734-971-8800, Ext. 227.

Spring Registration

Spring Registration

Spring registration is just around the corner. Make sure your troop doesn’t miss out! Giving families the chance to participate in this process means that every girl has the opportunity to continue her experience of the power, friendship and fun of Girl Scouting. As a leader, you can give your Girl Scouts this chance by sharing spring registration information with parents and guardians.

Why register early?

This may be a question you hear from parents, or one that you may be wondering about yourself. There are a number of reasons for participating in spring registration — here are just a few:

Girl Scouts can be the first activity girls choose for next fall.

Girl Scout programming can get started earlier in the fall.

Membership dues are paid during the spring, before expenses for activities start to stretch family budgets.
